ABOUT BIG COMPANY

BIG in Serbia was founded by Big Shopping Centers from Israel, with the aim of building shopping centers and creating a unique BIG brand in the Balkans, established in 2007. BIG currently operates 13 shopping centers, 11 in Serbia, 2 in Montenegro, with a total asset value of around €700 million and 448K m2. Expansion is planned in the near future to the markets of Poland, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, and Bosnia.

IDENTIFIED BUSINESS PROBLEM

Given the increasing level of business year by year, as well as the growing number of operations and complexity within the business itself in recent years, there arose a need to automate, simplify, and centralize the entire financial-operational process within one program that would encompass different modules and cover as much of our business as possible.

CHALLENGE

One of the main challenges was to have incoming invoices in electronic form, as well as to streamline a complex series of invoice approvals into a predefined path within the program, instead of through email, printing, filing in registers, and reducing errors caused by human factors to a minimum.

DMS SOLUTION

Together with our consultant Marko Jovanović, who was recommended by CDT, after a detailed and very professional analysis on his part, we reached the most practical solution, which is DMS integrated into our current ERP system and where all our current challenges we face on a daily basis can be addressed.

Collaboration with the Center for Digital Transformation was an extremely professional experience, full of new insights that significantly contributed to the improvement of our corporation as well as knowledge that we will use in the future, and many other benefits that successful cooperation can bring. Working with Marko was very efficient, we received a lot of new ideas and useful information, which we plan to use in the future and for other branches of our business, as well as collaboration with CDT on other projects in the future.
